Yoga, Ayurveda & therapy with heart and mind in Berlin
My name is Saskia, I grew up in Essen and worked as a counselor in a psychiatric day clinic for several years after completing my degree in social education. I was interested in yoga, meditation and Indian culture from an early age, which led me to emigrate to India with my husband and two daughters in 2003.
I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. Based on my own experience of how good yoga is for me physically and mentally, I completed a yoga teacher training course in India, where I lived for 12 years.

During my 12-year stay in India I got to know the beneficial and healing effects of Ayurveda. In 2013 I completed my training as an Ayur-Yoga masseuse with an Ayurvedic doctor. I have been living in Berlin again since 2014 and completed the Svashta Yoga Therapy training in 2019. Ayurveda as well as orthopaedics, cardiology, neurology and psychiatry were topics that were dealt with in detail from a yoga therapeutic perspective.
Over the years it has become clear to me that therapeutic work or yoga with a therapeutic orientation is particularly important to me. It is wonderful to see how quickly the physical and/or mental state changes/improves. In order to expand my knowledge and to use and pass on Ayurveda, both in yoga therapy and independently of it, I completed training as an Ayurvedic health consultant.
